Web 2.0 "The term 'Web 2.0' describes the changing trend in the use of the World Wide Web and web design that aim to enhance creativity, communications, secure information sharing, collaboration and functionality of the web" (see "Web 2.0" Wikipedia). By integrating the advancements of the internet to the classroom, instructors can use these "Web tools" to communicate with the students in their own "language", increasing student engagement, accountability and learning, in and out of the classroom.

Title V Web 2.0 Technology Programs include workshops in the use of both the college system ACE (SharePoint) as well as Moodle, as Learning Management Systems (LMS), sometimes called Course Management Systems (CMS), to help support the many classroom based courses taught at ELAC. To learn more, click on the CMS tab above. [Note that Distance Ed courses are taught using Etudes.]

eFolio The introduction of eFolios on campus is another project that Title V is supporting . See the eFolio tab (above) for more information. [Additional information will be added as it becomes available.]

Other workshops on campus are managed by Professional Development along with the TLC. Some are separate from and others in conjunction with our Title V Web 2.0 project. Recent workshops have included Office 2007, podcasting, use of the Smart classrooms, and the use of video in classrooms. [The upcoming Web 2.0 workshops will be posted in the Workshop tab above, once the schedules have been finalized.]
