Campus-wide Services: Wireless Access

Campus Wireless Network Access
The East Los Angeles College Wireless Service provides wireless data network access (Wi-Fi) for mobile computing devices such as laptops and PDA's. This service is available for students, faculty, staff, and guests using either Administrative or Academic Account. The Information Technology has deployed campus-wide wireless access through out the entire ELAC Campus.

All ELAC employees have access to their wireless connections.

Service is provided for:
The College requires authentication to gain access to the wireless network. Users must have a valid ELAC ID or guest account ID that is authorized to use the service. Most faculty, staff, and students are automatically authorized. Authorization may be revoked to resolve a security issue or remove a problematic device from the network. ITS provides a pre-configured authentication client for Windows XP systems, which is available to all College students, faculty, and staff.
