• Submit the college Admission Application for the upcoming school year.
• For an Admission Application, go to the East Los Angeles College website at http://www.elac.edu/admission/
• Obtain a Department of Education PIN (Personal Identification Number) now! Your PIN will serve as an e-signature, and will expedite the financial aid and loan processes.
• For dependent students, your parents need to also apply for a PIN.

January/February

• January and February are the months to submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Cal Grant GPA Verification!
• Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to apply for the FAFSA.
• Priority applicants must have a FAFSA processed by March 2nd and submit all required documents by April 30th for priority funding.

March

• Deadline for PRIORITY financial aid consideration is April 30^th and Cal Grant is March 2nd- be sure your FAFSA is filed!
• Deadline for the GPA Verification (Cal Grant) form is March 2^nd - be sure your GPA Verification form is filed!
• Do NOT wait until you are admitted to ELAC before submitting your FAFSA and GPA Verification form.
• If you miss the priority deadline, you may still apply for financial aid, but funding is limited.

April/May

• To receive your financial aid disbursement by the first week of the Fall semester, all supporting documents must be submitted by April 30^th.

May/June

• Award notifications begin for priority applicants!

August/September

• Financial aid disbursement for priority applicants
